EVENT'S FORMAT

Each Event shall consist of men's team competition between the Asian all star team and the European all star team.

The date of the Events in each calendar year shall be jointly determined by the Sanctioning Bodies and the Promoters by end of the previous year. In principle, the Events shall be held before or after an ITTF Pro-Tour event in the same country or region. Dates for 2009 Series:

1- China Event
Beijing (CHN), August 25th - 26th, 2009

2- Europe Event
Istanbul (TUR), November 10 - 11, 2009

The China Promoter and the Europe Promoter should respectively select a venue with a capacity of 3,000 to 8,000 people at the host country.

Each Event shall be a team competition between the Asian all star team and the European all star team. Each team competition shall consist of five (5) single's matches per day. Each match shall be best of three (3) out of five (5) games.

The provisional time schedule will be as follows:

Remarks: Players No. 1 and 2 play against each other (4 matches),  players No. 3 to 5 play 2 singles each between themselves (6 matches). No doubles included. A draw is theoretically possible.

Players No. 1 and 2 have to be nominated according to the World Ranking List to ensure that the best players of both teams meet. Players No. 3 to 5 may be put up flexibly according to the wish of the coach. Every day should offer enough highlights for spectators and media.

The winner of the Event shall be determined at each Event.  The winner of the Series shall be determined by combining the result of both Events.  If the score of the Series is tied at five (5) to five (5), then an additional single's match shall be played by the one selected player from each team.

Each team competition shall be held over two (2) week days at a time that is jointly determined by the Parties, the Promoter and the related Host Broadcaster, and that is suitable for TV broadcasting in the host country.

At the end of each competition day, an exhibition match could be played by players from both teams in case of further available time.


PLAYERS SELECTION

ETTU will be responsible for organizing the European all star team, while ATTU will be responsible for organizing the Asian all star team. The Parties shall be responsible for inviting and selecting the best players for their respective team.

There shall be no more than one (1) player from one country except that the host country could have up to two (2) players.
The host country will have the right for a wild card, if needed and requestd.
