Euro-Asia All Stars event in Beijing "live" on CCTV
05/03/2010 - The Asian Event of 2010 Euro-Asia All Stars Series is less then six weeks to go. On April 13th and 15th Asian Table Tennis Union will be the host of first step of 2010 Series in Beijing. At Yue Tan Gymnasium in Chinese capitol will play Asian and European team for prestige and 80.000 Euros. The winning team will collect 53.000 whilst losing team will have consolation in 27.000 Euros.
WANG Liqin lead the Asian team. Triple World champion from China will play alongside Japan's Jun MIZUTANI, JOO Se Hyuk of Korea, CHENG Yuk of Hong Kong and GAO Ning of Singapore. The European line up is: Vladimir SAMSONOV of Belarus, Michael MAZE of Denmark, Dimitrij OVTCHAROV of Germany, Werner SCHLAGER of Austria and Jorgen PERSSON of Sweden.
The draw ceremony is scheduled for April 12th . The official hotel for Event is Sheraton Beijing, Haidian Hotel . Equipment sponsor for table and balls is DHS. Sponsor for flooring is GERFLOR..
The competition on first day on April 13th starts at 7.30 PM local time (12.30 CET) and it will last until 10 PM (3 PM CET). After day off, on April 15th players will be ready for another day of fierce battles. The program starts at 7.30 PM local time (12.30) and the last duel will be finish before 10.30 PM (3.30 PM CET).
The official TV broadcaster is CCTV transmitting "live" both competition days. The event is organized by Chinese Table Tennis Association and Beijing Sports Administration.
